A new record of species Rubia tinctorum L. (Rubiaceae) for the flora of Vietnam

In this paper, one species that was collected at high elevation of Fansipan Mountain (upper 2000m a.s.l.) was identified as Rubia tinctorum L.. Therefore, the paper has added one species for the flora of Vietnam. This species is also recorded as a medicine and also dyeing one. The specimens of this species have been keeping at herbarium of Hanoi National University of Science and herbarium of Hoang Lien National Park. The keys to species of two genera as Galium and Rubia of the family Rubiaceae in Vietnam have been also provided. Within Rubia genus in Vietnam, R. tinctorum differs with R. cordifolia at non petiole character and some time it is 4-6 whorled leaves (R. cordifolia is always 4 whorled leaves and petiole is 4-8 mm).
