Ta Sua Nature Reserve, Son La province belongs to the high mountain in North-West Vietnam, primary studies on diversity of plants of Ta Sua Nature Reserve, to date, a total of 733 vascular plant species belong to 473 genera, 159 families, 6 phyla have been recorded from Ta Sua Nature Reserve, By this study, the conservational values of Ta Sua Nature Reserve were indicated with 53 endangered and rare species; in which 49 species are listed in the 2007 Red Data Book of Vietnam as Mahonia nepalensis, Madhuca pasquieri, Drynaria fortunei, Excentrodendron tonkinense, Asarum balansae, Anoectochilus setaceus, Annamocarya sinensis, Markhamia stipulate, Fokienia hodgsinsii… and 3 species are listed in the 2009 IUCN Red List of Threatened Species as Chukrasia tabularis, Fokienia hodgsinsii, Podocarpus neriifolius, 15 species are listed in the Decree NĐ32/2006 NĐ-CP of the Vietnamese Government as Anoectochilus setaceus, Asarum glabrum, Cinnamomum balansae, Cinnamomum parthenoxylon, Coptis quinquesecta, Fokienia hodgsinsii, Garcinia fagraeoides, Markhamia stipulate, Polygonatum kingianum, Stephania rotunda, Fibraurea recisa…and 5 species are listed in the Appendix II of the 2008 CITES as Paphiopedilum villosum, Paphiopedilum malipoense, Nervilia fordii, Dendrobium longicornu, Anoectochilus setaceus.
In which the 435 species were delivered for 9 used groups: timber, ornamental, foods, tanin, dye, oil, flavouring, poisonous, other groups.
